Showing Kindness – Connect with Respect, Comment with Kindness

This week at Mortlake College, our SWPBS focus is We are kind to others online. We are learning how to communicate respectfully and kindly when we are online. Our words can have a big impact on others, so we need to think before we post, comment or respond.

• Respect: We show respect online by using appropriate language, listening to different opinions and thinking about how our words might make others feel.
• Kindness: We comment with kindness by encouraging others, being positive and making sure our words help rather than hurt.
• Growth Mindset: We can learn from our online experiences and mistakes. If we make a poor choice, we can reflect, take responsibility and make a better choice next time.
