SWPBS (School Wide Positive Behaviour Support)

SWPBS is a framework for promoting and explicitly teaching appropriate and positive behaviours. It creates a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. SWPBS focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviours, while providing targeted assistance to students who may need extra support. SWPBS is a way to create a safe and positive learning environment, where everyone thrives.

We have a consistent system of expectations for all students, which students know as our school values:

Mortlake College uses a stamp system to recognise and reward students when they exhibit our school values. Each stamp represents 1 “Fitz Buck”. Students are able to trade their “Fitz Bucks” for prizes, rewards and special treats at the Market.

Markets are held twice a term, please keep your eye out on our social media and Sentral for dates.

Some examples of possible reward items may include: movie tickets, canteen vouchers, novelty gifts, stationery, vouchers to community businesses.

If students are demonstrating undesirable behaviours, staff follow our Behaviour Flowchart.
