Physical Education & Advance


At Mortlake P-12 College we offer all of our students the opportunity to participate in an engaging and innovative sports program built on a strong culture of team values and respect.

  • Swimming lessons Foundation to Year 6 / Year 7-10. Competitions F-12.

Mode of delivery

  • We offer Units 1-4 VCE Physical Education which is delivered onsite.
  • Foundation to Year 6 students participate in 100 minutes of Physical Education each week. The primary focus is for students to develop a love for movement so they gain the confidence, knowledge, competence and behaviours to move for the rest of their lives.
  • All Year 7 to 10 students participate in CORE P.E (100 minutes per week) in addition students can also choose from multiple P.E electives from the year 7-10 elective subject system.

  • SEPEP units
  • Minors games
  • Fundamental motor skill development

All of these activities build on sportsmanship, ownership and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

 

The Advance Program is offered as an elective unit at year 9 & 10. Students will complete modules within the Advance program, which include numerous opportunities to develop their skills in leadership, fitness, volunteering as well as learning basic life skills.

  • Camps: Mount Buller, Great Victorian Bike Ride, Surf Camp, Grampians
